WPC ETA Certificate & Import License
WPC ETA Approval is the Type Approval for equipment given by WPC for the use of equipment in the Indian Telecom Network.
The Wireless Planning and Coordination wing of India’s Department of Telecommunications issues approval of radio devices operating in unlicensed frequency bands.
The Product/device operating on free bands are required ETA/Type Approval from WPC.
(BT/WiFi/Zigbee/RFID).
Generally, approval is based on review of foreign standard test reports and approval certificates. If in case foreign report on model isn't available, we can get RF testing done in India and arrange report.
ETA certs are model specific, wpc doesn't permit family/series models approval.
Module ETAs are permitted.
We support clients globally for their wireless equipment to get certified for type approvals as per Indian standard.
ETA through “Self Declaration” for certain products:-
Now, ETA through self-declaration is permitted for commercial/finished products such as Mobile/Computing devices, speaker, headphones, printers, scanners, Bluetooth jewelry/ watches/ home appliances /RFID/earphones or earplugs/headphones/
mobile phone /remotes /keypads /mouse/Music players/other radio frequency modules etc, operating on free bands.
Basic documents required for ETA certification:

· RF Test Report of Product by Accredited Lab (Global reports from certified laboratories with ILAC/Accreditation Logo are accepted, In-country test not required then)

Technical Data Sheet / Technical specification of the product

Authorization-cum-Agreement Letter for foreign manufacturers (Format can be shared on request)
